 ~ Isaiah 40:3-5 ~

呼ばわる者の声がする、
荒野に主の道を備え、

さばくに、
われわれの神のために、
大路をまっすぐにせよ。

もろもろの谷は
高くせられ、
もろもろの山と丘とは
低くせられ、
高低のある地は
平らになり、
険しい所は平地となる。

こうして
主の栄光があらわれ、
人は皆ともに
これを見る。
これは主の口が
語られたのである。


The voice of one crying 
in the wilderness:
Prepare the way of the Lord;
Make straight in the desert
A highway for our God.

Every valley shall be exalted
And every mountain 
and hill brought low;
The crooked places 
shall be made straight
And the rough places smooth;

The glory of the Lord 
shall be revealed,
And all flesh 
shall see it together;
For the mouth of the Lord 
has spoken.
