This recording gets the quasi-audiophile treatment...Rega P3, Dynavector 10x5 cartridge, PrimaLuna ProLogue Three & MOTU 896HD audio interface recording at 24/96. To top it off this 7 1/2 minute song fills up an ENTIRE record side pressed at 33 1/3! These grooves are insane! Easily one of the best "dance" 12"s I've ever heard. Dig that bass!

Ismael Kouyate came to my attention when seeing the band "Mandingo Ambassadors" back in 2008. We got into the studio quickly after & he floated like a butterfly over this instrumental in his native Mandingo flow. A year later I'm sitting with friends watching the new musical by Fela & I see this amazing dancer singing something familiar... Ismael singing N'Dini! Beautifully!!
