First single taken from forthcoming album 'A Knack For Calamity'. 

Label boss, DJ, producer and all-round music industry egg, Leigh ran the Urban Torque club night from 1999, featuring a dream team of residents including Juan Atkins, Justin Robertson and Craig Richards, before launching the Urban Torque label with founder Jason Moore in 2001. UT was home to some of the best electronic records of the 2000s and became a byword for a certain type of quality and musicality. This was no doubt due to the savvy A&R skills, artist development and down to earth business approach from Leigh and Jason, whose continued success through troubled times in the industry was testament to the quality of their label. 

Leigh continued to run the Urban Torque Transmissions Radio Show whilst carefully learning the production craft, working on his own music at home. Never one to hurry things, always one to wait for just the right moment, finally we get to hear Leigh Morgan’s first full length album 'A Knack For Calamity' on Fancy Human. Featuring 13 tracks of dreamy electronica, dance floor targeted deep house and taking in some downtempo gorgeousness too, 'A Knack For Calamity' is what happens when someone who truly loves house music takes the time to learn how to make it; the results are as high quality as everything else Leigh has done in his music career to date.

Following his solo 12" debut in November on AC Records, Armec returns with a 4-track EP on Echocentric Records.  “Diametric EP" is nuance-rich and emotional, enter micro-worlds of subtle melodies, pads and sci-fi drones that ooze both melancholy and hope, and will appeal to anyone into electro, IDM and techno.   A-side is a nod to Robbie's IDM roots. Just check the expansive soaring synth-work on "Auden" and the analogue moods of "Conceptualise". The droney, murky & dystopian sci-fi soundscapes of side B offer another view into Armec's production work.   Keep an eye out for Armec in 2020, more quality releases on their way.

Talahachi is a record label for rhythmic electronic music, operating from the science department of North Middlesex Technical College. We like music made with synthesizers, step sequencers and arpeggiators, chord memory and the filters on vintage samplers. We like melodic techno and electro, deep house and delicate acid tracks, but we’re also interested in music closer to synth pop and cold wave, or ambient tracks with a pulse.
