MAMA JO featuring Idd Aziz was already published in February 2016 as the second single release from Max Doblhoffs debut album AFRICALA on the Viennese label Clubcruisemusic. Since then the song has been played by many DJ`s and has got airplay support on the Austrian Radiostation FM4.
The song is a felicitous mélange of analogue and electronic sounds, coming from live recorded instruments like kalimba, african percussions, bass, drums & guitars are used whereas digital elements are reduced giving the production character & flair. It is very catchy and makes you happy immediately!
Now two giants of house music have done their reinterpretation of MAMA JO as a summer special remix. Stefan Obermaier, a musical all-rounder from Salzburg, has created a fantastic Clubmix with his deep underground style. Basti Grub, a master of the German minimal Tech House scene from Frankfurt, reconstructed MAMA JO to a dulcet late night summer tune. And what a break!

De Pikles is a chilian based project made up by many artists that you would recognize. The group loves to combine traditional folk sounds which is easily noticeable in their first release ''La Piragua'' Ep.

The original version of La Piragua & Cumbia al Palo, is reminiscent of Caribbean music making you giving the listener a feeling of being on an endless tropical vacation. 
The fat bass & the delightful groove does the rest; bringing to the table an all around happy vibe! 

This pack includes 2 remixes from two downtempo groove masters which we're very happy to welcome as well: Rodrigo Gallardo & Timboletti.
They brought the original track to their own taste which transforms the track into a more harmonious and groovy feeling; which is what makes this release all the more versatile and colorful. A true masterpiece to date!

Après la révolution cubaine de 1959, cette boîte de nuit fut détruite.
Quarante ans après sa destruction, son nom fut repris pour un projet musical, imaginé par Nick Gold de la maison de disques World Circuit et le guitariste américain Ry Cooder. L'idée de ce projet était de réunir dans un même enregistrement des musiciens cubains « campesinos » (soneros légendaires des années 1930, 40 et 50), et des musiciens d'Afrique de l'Ouest. Retenus à l'aéroport de Paris, les Africains ne purent se rendre à Cuba, et finalement l'enregistrement de l'album s'effectua sans eux.

L'album enregistré en 1996, "Buena Vista Social Club", rencontra un tel succès que le groupe fut incité à se produire sur scène à Amsterdam en 1998, suivi de plusieurs concerts au Carnegie Hall de New York.
Le cinéaste Wim Wenders fut sollicité pour les filmer. Il en fit un documentaire, en ajoutant les interviews, effectuées à La Havane, des différents musiciens. Le film fut lui aussi intitulé Buena Vista Social Club.  
                                                                                                                                
The Buena Vista Social Club was a mythical nightclub in the suburbs of Havana, Cuba (located at &quot;Calle 41"; between numbers 46 and 48, in the Marianao district). After the Cuban revolution of 1959, this nightclub was destroyed.
Forty years after its destruction, its name was taken up again for a musical project, conceived by Nick Gold of the World Circuit record company and American guitarist Ry Cooder. The idea of this project was to bring together in the same recording Cuban &quot;campesino"; musicians (legendary soneros from the 1930s, 40s and 50s), and musicians from West Africa. Held at Paris airport, the Africans were unable to travel to Cuba, and finally the album was recorded without them.

The album recorded in 1996, "Buena Vista Social Club";, was so successful that the group was encouraged to perform in Amsterdam in 1998, followed by several concerts at Carnegie Hall in New York.
The filmmaker Wim Wenders was asked to film them. He made a documentary of it, adding the interviews, carried out in Havana, of the different musicians. The film was also called Buena Vista Social Club.
