Miraval's love for unusual plants brought them to the "Asian Bleeding Heart" that was the beginning of this particular EP - the violet symbolizing nostalgia in their eyes and at the same time a cloud of emotions, they created "Violet Cloud". The EP closes with "Father's Portrait", overflowing with thoughts, feelings and memories.

From the depths comes this gripping new collection of stories from Paris-based producer Davka, and Mexico City-based Leon Lobato. 

On the title track, De Profundis, the pair fuse pulsing bass kicks with electrifying hand drums to underpin ethereal vocals and melancholic synth notes. The result is a thumping journey of sound, textured and layered with hidden gems throughout each of its nearly 8-minute run time.

The inspiration for the track is Oscar Wilde’s letter to an old acquaintance, written from prison. The first half of the correspondence recalls the heyday of their extravagant lifestyles — parties, dinners, hotels. The second half documents Wilde’s discovery of his own spirituality whilst in prison as a direct result of the excesses of his former life.

If Davka and Lobato’s opener De Profundis is the regret-tinged peak of an opulent and indulgent life, then Calm is the exploration of a softer, more introspective side of life.

Pumping drums give way to lighter kicks, kissed by piano flourishes and beautiful synthetic melodies. Calm is, as the name suggests, a peaceful, hypnotic ride that is packed with depth and feeling.

It leads to the EP’s closer, Le Chant De L’Eau, a track that pushes the project in to uncharted territory. The hand drums and thicker beats of ‘De Profundis’ return, but this time they are layered over enchanting melodies and the sound of a single drop of water, playing on a loop.

The track is a perfect finish to the project: sweet, alluring, and very rhythmic, intertwining all of the themes that Davka and Lobato explore on the first two tracks of the EP.

And as if that wasn’t enough, the project comes with a package of remixes from Greg Nairo, Cocho, and George X, who each apply their signature sound to the work already done by Davka and Lobato, taking the cuts in brand new, unforeseen directions.

LTR Premiere: Davka & Leon Lobato - De Profundis [Everything Will Be OK]

Scottish producer Tagavaka returns to Anjunadeep with his four track ‘Extrapolate EP’ - his first standalone release on the label. Despite being a fairly new name in the scene, with releases like Anjunadeep Explorations 18’s ‘Sky’ and a double A-side on Barrientos Music to his name, he has already gained support from artists including Adam Port, Lane 8 and Nora En Pure.

First heard on flagship label compilation Anjunadeep 12, title track ‘Extrapolate’ opens the EP with emotive melodies whilst ‘You Could Be The One’ and ‘Forms’ favour break-beat inspired drums. Tagavaka rounds off the EP with ‘Oxygen’, featuring cascading synths and bold vocals.

Henry Saiz has kindly given us his new production 'Haunted Girl Canyon' to premiere and it does not disappoint, Henry is a Spanish Producer/DJ who is renown for his live show. Henry is one of the most talented producers around on the scene today, Henry never limits himself to just one genre, in the past he has released a mixture of tracks with genres including Tech House, Disco and electronica. Safe to say Henry likes to keep challenging himself! 

The track is being released on Suara, run by Henry's fellow Spaniard Coyu. 'Haunted Girl Canyon' on the 1st of December which includes remixes from the two heavy weights on the melodic electronic scene such as Rodriguez Jr. and Eelke Kleijn who have delivered their own amazing re-intepretation of Saiz's masterpiece. 'Haunted Girl Canyon' takes the listener on a journey full of melodic synths and powerful beats and basses.
