From time to time it feels like a dream. The big boys are playing their records and the party keeps going on and on. David Jach is no longer just one of those Djs… He found his way, his style and he works steadily on his magic. For years, his records have been loaded and his tour schedule is heavy these days. Jach represents a new generation of musicians, who rely on their own emotions rather than the “great hypes” and still, his sound somehow manages to sneak in between the almost identical sounding tracks of the Beatport Top20. However, David Jach does not only count on his vinyl productions but also on his live performing qualities. The freshness of his performances is catching and evokes an almost romantic picture of perfect Open-Air-Days and Club-Nights, some of which he is celebrating on a regular basis within the scope of his own event “Freunde Feiern”. Colourful, slightly soaked with house and deep sound elements, always a bit nostalgic but at the same time several steps ahead of the usual burbling techno-releases. Most recently, David Jach and his mate Beatamines have performed an electronic concert with a philharmonic orchestra. The video of this special production went around the world and the concert will be repeated in a number of special locations. It’s up to you to open your ears and your mind – this boy is hardworking and he’s out to get you.

Hello again,

Presenting the first of two holiday gifts for you, the now traditional three hour journey mix for Afterhours.fm's End of Year Countdown celebrations, and one that encompasses many long hours of preparation. 

Much like a reflection of the open to close solo sets, the extended time allows the full Markus Schulz sound palette to blossom - starting deep, and building things up as we go along. A collection of some of my favorites across the genres in recent months, a few brand new IDs being debuted for the first time on radio, and a little sprinkling of classics.

I am looking for the bright blending beams of the space ship ICARUS to pick me up from White Ocean for a ride into the deep playa. I can see it arriving super dangerous and gently at the same time, a gigantic monster hovering over the cold sand. All of its machines are fully tanked and the crew is ready for take off towards a trip into the endless eternal darkness of the desert night, only the captain knows where he wanted to take us...to a far far away shrine like pyramid made out of lights...The DJ sets starts out with a sound coulisse by Stephan Bodzin accompanied by the improvised electric violin that runs though futuristic fx chains. lt progresses to an epic Seth Schwarz Remix of Lukkif’s Mine Hender that calls out the missing nomads to enter the ship for the journey. Once the engines are rolling and the reactor is above working temperature we start moving and the stars around us become only white stripes that burst into space time accompanied by Rauschhaus'a Eskrima - in that state it takes us only further into space, moments of silence occur, sudden moments of uncertainty, broken oxygen pipes, hidden agents that tormented us and blind passengers that had to be dealt with (for them the deep playa also provides;)). We we super lucky to find clean oceans to Reste on the blue planet Atlas to refill our tanks after being hit by Apollo. We were lucky then and out of the Imax speakers Opus was rejoicing, but not too long because the water was intoxicated with X-pollination, it not only Seems Real, it becomes a new universe before beaming back to Antwerpen… the legendary tales of the Icarus Crew are yet to be told, so let yourself float away and find yourself a ship to cruise on while enjoying this musical bonbon before the chapter closes with a captain future like hymn by Emika.

Like Burial, Prayer’s music draws on the melancholy, soaring sound of Vangelis’ soundtrack to Blade Runner, the authoritative synth-led sci-fi soundtrack.

The ‘Seeing’ EP takes this idea straight to the dance floor, incorporating the intricacies of the classical form with the rhythmic complexity of jungle.

Prayer’s ‘Seeing’ EP will be released June 30 via Black Acre.

Talla 2XLC is one of the first pioneers of electronic music and in his career as a DJ, producer and eventmanager with over four decades of experience he has released numerous albums singles and remixes under several aliases.

He played in clubs and at festivals worldwide, being known for his high-energy DJ sets and his ability to get crowds moving on the dance floor.

His style is characterized by driving beats, melodic synths and uplifting melodies, but he has reinvented himself many times and plays masterfully in different electronic music genres like Techno, Trance and Progressive.

In addition Talla 2XLC is also the founder of the Technoclub, the most popular electronic music event in Germany. Therefore he brought many international artists to Germany, consistently pushing the global dance scene and bringing excitement to the electronic community.
