South Africa's Dirkie Coetzee and Namibia's Pierre Pienaar are not only great friends but also musical brothers and are about to perform a joint Open-to-Close at Dirkie's club night We Are Trance in Johannesburg at time of writing! They share a love of driving and uplifting trance music, so this collaboration is exactly what you'd expect and hope for - soaring melodies, pounding beats and plenty of euphoria. In case you were wondering, the title is a Fijian word that means 'to bring life' or 'to bring fire'.

Talla 2XLC is an expert on reworking trance classics and bring them up to date for the new generation of trance lovers. His brand new Technoclub Retro release is his collaboration with DJ Buzz for the seminal track Whales. The original track released on Poison records back in 1998 was co-produced by the legendary Torsten Stenzel who is behind countless trance classics. Talla 2XLC adds his pounding tough metallic kick, rough energetic driving basslines and thunderous percussion while on top at the first half he teases us with short extracts of the unforgettable melody. The breakdown is long and atmospheric with sea waves, warm airy pads, orchestral strings and whales cry sound effects that considered to be deeply therapeutic for the troubled human souls to listen and relax for a while until Talla 2XLC unleashes the memorable riff all over the place that still evokes so much emotion and captures our imagination. It’s definitely one of those melodies that easily carry you away without any effort and make you really happy and optimistic even if you feel that nothing in your life is going as you wish to be. The perfect escape within an ocean of sound waves is the perfect remedy to uplift your spirit and feel the joy of music by being peaceful and full of love and care for each other. Talla 2XLC had an enormous success with his rework of the Italian trance classic Distant Planet produced by Saccoman on the legendary label BXR (Mauro Picotto, Mario Piu, etc). The two very good friends Talla 2XLC and Saccoman meet up again in the studio for the full on uplifting rework of Open Your Heart released back in 1997 with huge impact in the trance clubs and charts. The original theme is so emotionally strong that is very hard for the listener to forget it. Back in the golden days of trance, Talla 2XLC had supported the track frequently in his sets on Technoclub and sounds logical to attempt to rework Open Your Heart and reintroduce its marvelous melodies to his younger trance followers. Talla is an expert DJ and producer with presence each weekend on clubs and festivals all over the world, testing in and out all his productions extensively, before releasing them to the public. He aims to be 100% sure that whatever track is released under his name will have an impact in the modern club culture. Saccoman from the legendary club Cocorico combines his love for the track with Talla and the result is absolutely incredible. Be prepared to stay speechless with  amazement in the middle of the dancefloor when the teutonic beats, thunderous basslines, pounding kicks and superb melodic layers appear at the top. The breakdown is truly sensitive with piano chords, airy harps and cinematic atmosphere. When the classic synthy theme unleashed, the club will erupt in seconds, and as the build up takes the listener in its effortless climax, the result will blow up the speakers and keep the trance fans fully satisfied. As with all Talla’s reworks, once again he respects the original track and succeeds to update it in a way that uplifting trance fans will adore and even encourage them to rediscover the original versions. The timeless classic Open Your Heart is reworked in perfection by Talla 2XLC and the original artist Saccoman out now on Technoclub Retro.
