Trance Wax, aka Ejeca, returns to Anjunabeats with a rework of OceanLab’s 2003 anthem, ‘Satellite’.

This is Trance Wax’s second OceanLab edit: ‘Clear Blue Water’, released in April, was described by Resident Advisor as "ethereal and addictive” and attracted support from big room heavyweights and cratediggers alike. This is the second official label release for Ejeca’s throwback edits project, the bulk of his work exists only on white label vinyl.

His latest reboot unashamedly embraces the euphoric tenor of yesteryear while a dusty broken beat takes aim modern dancefloors.

Trance Wax joins the Anjunabeats U.K tour later this year, with appearances at EH1 Festival in Edinburgh on September 14 & The Warehouse Project on November 29. Tickets for the Anjunabeats U.K tour are on sale now.

I've been following Scott's work as a designer since 07/08, so when I first heard his music I was immediately drawn to it. I see a lot of parallels in the sonic choices and his own aesthetic. One of my favorite things to do is see artists progress over time and develop their techniques. I think this new Tycho album with vocals is such a nice step in that trajectory. I was thrilled to be a part of this remix package because this song immediately jumped out at me. My natural inclination is to make it a bit poppier whereas the original is more introspective. The chord progression from the verse felt really good to me so I decided to loop it and build the track around that.

Homebound

When trying to come up with a Christmas gift for my godchildren, born this year (2020), it was suggested I cover a song, maybe "Yesterday" from The Beatles. I thought "Let It Be" was more my style and appropriate, so I ignored my family for large parts of a week, and this is the result. I hope you find it as calming, beautiful, and peaceful as I do. We could all remember to "let it be" after the years of tension, hate, and fighting we've had. Sending you my love <3
