It reflects the nocturnal Marseille neighborhood with its winding streets and dim streetlights. Its curves and textures recall late-night walks, hills folding into one another, shadows cast by flickering lamps, and the quiet rhythm of a city at rest, captured in memory.

Light and Obscure were among the earliest sketches I made when I began listening inward. I kept them close for years, reshaping them slowly until they revealed a tone that felt like home.

If Light drifts in gently as the first shape to rise from stillness, Obscure moves deeper - a heavier current, pulsing with low light and quiet force, at the same time sharpening the contrast with denser textures and darker hues. It doesn’t shy from weight but channels it, grounded and immersive, like stepping into a storm behind closed eyes.

Hard to believe how time flies – it's been exactly 6 years, 4 months, and 19 days since we released our very first compilation. Back then, everything was new and we had no idea where the journey would take us. Over the years, downtempo has evolved significantly and continuously reinvented itself.

Today, we're releasing our tenth and - for now - final compilation. From the beginning, it was important to us to provide a platform for new and emerging artists – and up until this tenth compilation, we’re proud to say that no artist appeared more than once. For this special occasion, we're breaking with that tradition and have invited several long-time companions to join us in shaping this moment.

A big thank you to all the artists for their contributions, and to all our listeners for your continued support. Special thanks also go to Kilian Van de Water, whose unique style has always played a key role in creating the overall identity of our label.
