Deep Beats

Time passes, and the people of Ukraine continue to suffer from the Russian war of aggression. We feel obliged not to watch this cruelty wordlessly and idly. The senseless violence emanating from Russia is condemned by us in the strongest possible terms.

With Pieces for Peace we want to show that we as a community are aware of the people in Ukraine and that their suffering is not unseen. But from this we also want to be able to contribute to the relief efforts. In order to use it efficiently, all the proceeds of the campaign will be donated to the International Committee of the Red Cross, which is tirelessly at work, whether in the humanitarian or diplomatic field.

The compilation will only be available for two weeks. After that, all collected proceeds from it will be donated to the ICRC.

All artists are offering their contribution to this EP without any financial compensation.

ele & aal’s upcoming EP "Little Dreamers" is a nod to those quiet moments when small

grandiose or loud, yet they have their own kind of power. They represent the quiet

Quixotic has collaborated with Drrtywulvz on his original track Distant Pyramids, and also remixed it for their live performances. Today they are giving away the remix ahead of their upcoming new Quixotic EP being released in September, featuring more original music along with remixes of Distant Pyramids by Michal Menert, Nominus, Space Jesus, and David Starfire. The new as yet unnamed EP will be engineered by none other than Ron Lorman, known for his work with Frank Zappa and Miles Davis in the 70’s and 80’s. This remix blends vibrant strings with driving drums and psychedelic sound bites giving this track an other-worldly feel.

The Magic Movement welcomes producer and artist Janosh Marek aka Wilde See to the team! On his new “Typhon” EP he creates a rich tableau, ranging from Downtempo and Jazz to Melodic Techno and Deep House. Or as he calls it: Space Music! The EP casts off with an edit of “Nock” by label head-honcho Noema. This extraordinary composition fascinates by intertwining orchestral passages and strong percussive downbeat sections to a sophisticated floorfiller. Epic bassline alert!
The next destination on our cruise is “Typhon” which combines traditional Jazz vibes with contemporary Deep House elements. While in the first section a Rhodes piano and natural sounding drum set are having a jam, the second part surprises with a fresh House groove and a syncopated techy bassline.
On the Flipside we find ourselves gone interstellar with “Orlopdeck” in a Noema edit, a bold dancefloor bomb composed of minimal beats and ultra hypnotic polyrhythmic synths. Together with its minimal drums, modern melody work, and eccentric Dub elements this unique Sci-Fi gem is a class of its own.
With his remix of “Typhon” Arutani takes the spaceship back to a sunset on the open sea. On this playful and emotive journey, dubby synth lines sway in the wind while lush arpeggios make you dream of far away places.
