Papi OdeQ's music is greatly influenced by Benga, Rumba, and Traditional Kenyan Folk Music. He sings in several ethnic dialects of Kenya, but also in English & Swahili. He is also part of the music collective SOKO HURU MUSIC which he co-established with Ricky Nanjero (Renowned Afro-Jazz Bassist) and John Were (Experienced Lead Guitarist), and through which they intend to pursue their shared love and appreciation for Benga Music.
