Do you also know this special intuitive feeling when you read a good book for the second time and just realize then how important it was for you in the first time? O.O I had this recently - once with Gustave Le Bon ("Psychology of Crowds" from 1895) and another moment with Tom Hodgkinson ("How To Be Free" from 2006). Both books, although 111 Years in between, helped me a lot to see this world and myself from another perspective. Sure I can not fully agree with all points from each writer and live in some aspects complete differently... But anyway - it is not a discussion of "the truth" here, more a celebration of meaningful ideas for small but powerful habit changes. ;-D So this Mix is an inspirational Ode to all the great authors which we sometimes mention in our Sets as well. A mix of dark and psychedelic techno. My first ever recording and still experimenting and getting a feel for how to balance things when recording! I'm extremely proud of this track selection capturing an intense atmosphere blending science fiction and psychedelic elements.

Digital Diamonds feature ASH ROY in this episode. Ash Roy’s two-decade career has established him as one of the most progressive and respected artists in techno. His style blends minimalism, techno, and a touch of psychedelia, elegantly tied together with percussion. Active in Germany and India’s underground scene, he’s performed hybrid sets across Europe, Australia, the USA, and Asia.  His releases on labels like Dark Face Recordings, AlpaKa Muzik, Trapez, Techgnosis, and many others showcase his deep love for minimal techno. Ash has earned recognition as MyFav India's 'Best Techno DJ' (2014), VH1 Sound Nation's 'Best Electronic DJ,' and 'Producer of the Year' at MyFav awards (2015 and 2016). His work has been featured in Mixmag, Rolling Stone, DJ Mag NL, Faze Mag, and Euphoric Mag.  Ash debuted at Netherland’s Awakenings in 2017 and returned the following year. In 2019, he performed at Esoteric Festival in Australia, kicking off a 6-show tour. He played on Turmbühne at Fusion Festival 2021 and debuted at Wurzel Festival, Germany.  In summer 2022, he performed at events like Hai In Den Mai Festival, Fusion Festival, Master of Puppets (Czech Republic), Château Perché (France), and many more.  In 2013, Ash launched Soupherb Records, now India’s top minimal techno label, with over 130 releases from global artists.

Super honoured to be invited to play for the AMAZING Existance Festival. It was an absolutely epic weekend. 

Love love love what the team are creating. The vision is amazing and I'm super glad to be part of it. 

Here's my set. Re recorded due to some tech issues on the day.  find it hard to retrospectively try to recreate the magic by looking through my history at what I played and it was soooo much better on the day.
 
It's a 'you had to be there' moment I'm afraid. ;) So close your eyes, imagine being in the magic and have a wiggle in your living room or wherever you choose.

One Million Toys @ Boom Festival's Funky Beach 2025 (20/07/2025)

This set was new territory for me!

On May 17 at Ridgey Didge Productions Presents - Convergence 3 - I played a 2 hour warm up set for the almighty, Electrypnose. I got to explore some new territory with this set. Kicking it off with my remix of ALBA’s, “Badman”, then shifting through layers of minimal and bush techno gears, progressively weaving into swampy sounds of psy tech and psy trance. Getting up to 140 BPM at one point I believe - definitely the fastest 4/4 I’ve ever played out! All the while playing heaps of homies tunes. ✊

The dance floor was in it with me. I opened to a quiet room, but by the time I finished, the crowd was roaring and ready to dive into 3 hours of Electrypnose. This set felt good… different… I’m keen for some more fast paced, heavier sets like this!
