Delivering one of his signature crisp productions, Yousef injects a powerful bubbling electronic bass groove, layers of atmospheric synthology, playful vocal loops and peppered with impactful drops and breakdowns primed to lift the roof off!
UK DJ and production duo Peverell have been contributing to the dance music scene since the late 1990's. They are known for their versatile style, blending genres from Soulful, Disco House and Jackin' tracks, delivering vibrant performances. Peverell have held residencies and performed across Europe, including Ibiza. They have released over 50 tracks and remixes on labels such as Let There Be House, Phoenix Music, Love To Be, Jango Music and more. A notable highlight in their career is the remix of their original track 'Way Back', by house music legend Roger Sanchez, a collaboration with Ron Carroll.
Brighton's Kuuda are a talented dance music collective, comprised of 3 producer/songwriter/vocalists, Charlie, Maeve and Ollie. All from different musical backgrounds, Kuuda encompass a style that can range from Progressive/Afro to Jackin House to Emotive Breakbeat in both production and lead vocals. They have been making big waves on the scene with collaborations with Franky Wah, Hot Since 82, KeeQ, Artche, Sam Divine, James Organ on both Shèn Recordings and BLOND:ISH’s imprint Abracadabra. Their recent single with Hot Since 82, ‘ALIVE’, gained BBCR1 support from Pete Tong and Danny Howard. Kuuda have lots of exciting new music in the pipeline including releases on Crosstown Rebels and Let There Be House.
With over 20 years of dedication to the global electronic music scene, Yousef's contribution can’t be over exaggerated and he is considered one of the best, most skilful and most respected UK DJs of all time. As a producer, Yousef has now completed his 5th artist album, the truly accomplished 'I Operate in Purple'. Yousef has released more music on the world’s best record labels than almost any other artist in his field. Seminal releases on Crosstown Rebels, Desolat, Cocoon, Moon Harbour, Knee Deep in Sound, Defected, Hard Times, Renaissance and of course his own legendary Circus Recordings. After the highly recognized first edition of the "Japanology EP" it was time to join forces again and combine the powers of the far east with the futuristic high-techno-delic style of the madman himself. 

The result is a three track EP, meticulously crafted with love down to the smallest detail and with passion for high quality Psytrance. Each one of them will take you on a turbulent ride through hyperspace in its unique way and won't let your feet stand still. 

The opener "Activate" is exactly what it promises to be, a real fire-starter that will kick off any party or session at home. A very strong uplifting groove supported by Mirok's magical melody work climaxing towards total ecstasy. 

"Don't break your time" is an example of what happens when Cylon enters the studio and unleashes his organic old school vibes paired with a funky attitude. Rock solid bass lines and all sorts of groovy sounds are paving the way for a powerful ending.

Last but not least the EP is closing with "We are waves". In collaboration with wild Masaya a.k.a. Spectra Sonics this became an ever-peaking beast that never seems to come down. Razor-sharp acid sounds slice their way through a fresh break and lead to a madness that leaves behind nothing but brain salad.
