Number sixty presented by someone who I've watched in awe over the last year or so, as she continues to develop and blossom. Anyone who knows Clem ( @tangerine_tangerine ) would quickly think to her humility and talent, which make her Tangerine project so special. 

Clem has become known for cutting edge live electronic sets (& producing individual tracks) which span from ambient electronica to industrial techno, somehow in a deep, classy and seamless fashion. Not only this, but her DJ sets never fail to reveal a unique and exciting curation of dance floor songs and beyond. 

Beyond her own music, Clem is currently in the works of planning absorb (alongside Kavil @absorb-label ), an extended party at the incredible new miscellania club (18th Feb - save the date!)

Premiere: Tangerine - First Breath

Next up in our mix series is the Naarm/Melbourne based DJ & producer, Tangerine, a central figure in the local scene known for both her DJ and live-sets. She recently debuted with her singel EP, 'First Breath', where she unites two divergent approaches: her productions are just as chaotic as delicate, embracing the beauty of contradiction.

With this mix Tangerine blends psychedelic and trippy rhytms, with emotional soundscapes, and the mix works just as good at home, as in club sceneries. A true trip!

Emerging producer Tangerine releases her debut EP, titled First Breath. The cinematic four-tracker swiftly blends trance, psytrance, IDM, drum and bass and experimental elements, having drawn its influence from raves, film scores and the peaceful contemplation of natural landscapes.


Tangerine has previously released music on Australian labels Pure Space, Companion, Mama Snake’s Danish label Amniote Editions and London’s Local Knowledge. Tangerine also DJs, with mixes up on Animalia, Butter Sessions and Steeplejack.
