Kamyar Khanzaei (@ringsss), also known as RING and K-Dub, was born in 1992 in Tehran, Iran. He is a DJ, music producer, visual artist, and the founder of Sampatic Records. In addition to running his label, he manages NoHradioTehran and TUS.SHOW. Kamyar began his journey into DJing and music production in 2012 and later established Sampatic with the goal of bringing authentic underground sounds from around the world to Tehran’s music scene. He is actively involved in organizing events in both Iran and Turkey. His sound blends electro, dub techno, and minimal techno, infused with his own distinctive style.

Jaleo Real es una fiesta generacional, una reunión anual de Zetas (y no tan zetas) que ha sido capaz de, sin intentarlo ni perseguirlo, crear una escena de calidad y sana a raíz de ella; un ecosistema de culto instantáneo . Una rave boutique, 4 días de bienestar ininterrumpido donde se tejen tejidos sonoros, sociales y sentimentales con la música y el hedonismo inteligente como hilos conductores. Para un vampiro como yo que ha consumido ya varias generaciones de buenos fiesterxs me resulta una fortuna poder ser testigo cercano también de esta. Grandes mis primitos y mis primitas ;)

Fue el primer set que sonó en la zona de día en todo el finde. Me gustaría contar que fue todo un éxito de baile pero no fue así, la peña andaba en un mood mental y físico más estático, lo normal y comprensible siendo las 11 de la mañana; Elegí mal la música para el momento, no tuve el talento para acertar a ese respecto cuando la preparé por lo que me tuve que conformar con que "solo" se escuchara (en el pecado se suele llevar la penitencia). Dicho lo cual son temazos todos y cada uno de ellos y por supuesto que está mezclada flama flama, como siempre que soy yo el que pincha que sus pensáis. 

Iba a sacar la playlist pero me ha parecido un pateo. Track id? y voy. Son tracks de estos que, como el 99% de lo que salen son temazos pero no himnos, rara vez nos encontramos ya con esa pista que será recordada para siempre por todos, y no lo digo en plan polla vieja si no todo lo contrario; sale tanta música tan buena que un temazo oculta al otro y así constantemente, no te cansas de escuchar nuevas ideas bien ejecutadas. Esta generación además de a elles, cuenta con la mejor música que se ha hecho jamás ( así es de siempre en esto de la electrónica, quien diga lo contrario solo la juzga por los recuerdos que le trae, o ha dejado de traerle).

Jaleo Real is a generational party, an annual gathering of Zetas (and not so Zetas) that has been able, without trying or pursuing it, to create a quality and healthy scene out of it. A boutique rave, 4 days of uninterrupted wellness where sound, social and sentimental fabrics are woven with music and intelligent hedonism as the common threads. For a vampire like me who has already consumed several generations of good fiesterxs, it is a fortune to be a close witness of this one too. Great my cousins and my little cousins ;)

It was the first set that was played in the day zone all weekend. I would like to say that it was a dance success but it was not so, the people were in a more static mental and physical mood, normal and understandable being 11 am; I chose the wrong music for the moment, I did not have the talent to get it right when I prepared it so I had to settle for “just” to be heard (in the sin is usually the penance). Having said that, each and every one of them is great and of course flama flama is mixed in, as always when I'm the one who plays what you think.

I was going to pull out the playlist but I got lazy. Track id? and I'm going. They are tracks of these that, as 99% of what come out are great tracks but not hymns, rarely we find that track that will be remembered forever by everyone, and I do not say it like an oldcock if not the opposite; so much good music comes out that a great track hides the other and so constantly, you do not get tired of hearing new ideas well executed. This generation in addition to them, has the best music that has ever been made (that's how it always is in this electronic music, whoever says the opposite only judges it by the memories it brings him, or has stopped bringing him).

As head of record label, Elicit, Kessler’s holistic approach to rhythmical and immersive sound has cemented himself as a rising star in recent years, with hi-energy and progressive selections captivating audiences and leaving lasting impressions around the world. 

From cutting-edge techno mutations, dark and dubbed out half-time steppers, late ‘90s bassbin shaking jungle through to early 2010s post-dubstep heydays, the artist’s UK bass culture influence is definitely present, but never a constant with elements from afro-centric or latin grooves, giving him the edge.

A fittingly lush mix filled with dusty, wobbly perfection from the lovely Helsinki based @suskidj this week.

I met Suski when she warmed up for me the first time I played at Post Bar in Helsinki a few years ago - a place i've returned to a few times and truely adore! Suski is a resident at the much-loved Helsinki club. I was initially drawn to her dj'ing as the set she played as a warm-up in Post Bar was a pitch-perfect and contextually divine fit for the space & time. 

This mix is a poignant follow up - diving through through the rich textures of immersive techno, and an entire journey through the world of electronica & idm with broken beats, ambience and charmingly off-kilter percussive rhythms.

Big Hands is the main moniker of the artist also known as Andrea Ottomani, Andrea Ottomani Nontet and Otto Von Lumi. Mainly known for his serpentine and labyrinthine electronic productions that found home on labels such as Al Wootton's Trule, Blank Mind, Vargmal and his own Baroque Sunburst.
In recent years, he has developed an intimate and personal electronic sound that owes as much to free jazz and psych-rock as it does to more leaden styles such as dub and techno.

About the set, Andrea said: "This is 50 mins with me and a pair of 1200s - super fluid, rough & jumping between genres. Let's all boycott Spotify."

For the newest instalment, i'm really happy to welcome the incredible Brussels-based AliA (@aliamusicc). The local mainstay is a regular on Kiosk radio and runs her own label - @artisjokrecords. Alyah, better known as AliA,  has an exciting & unique approach to dj'ing. She is known for her blend of contemporary club music with jazz, classical and experimental sounds. 

I find AliA's musical outputs incredibly refreshing - the kind of artist who reminds you what a really good DJ can do - they can present genres & sounds to you that you'd otherwise maybe not typically explore, in a new and exciting way. For her Animix, Alyah has gone for an intensely chill blend of ambient & immersive music, with minimal, glitchy, dub techno, jazz, classical sounds and more.
