This piece was written as an elegy for a dear friend who passed away in July of 2015. It takes ambient electronic music as its point of departure and features improvisatory melodies, atmospheric effects, electronic vocal manipulation, and a variety of moods. It is a journey from disbelief through complete loss to a coming to terms.

Still Lives On was composed in five sections which move smoothly without breaks from one to the next:

Still Lives On

Point of Connection is a piece for speech and electronics. The speech comes from fragments of conversations I recorded with my good friends Cambria Butcher and Jack Rodenburg. These pieces are stitched together to tell a story all three of us believe in: the best way to heal emotional and social wounds is through empathy, listening, compassion, understanding, and non-judgment; and music is an exceptional way to perform that healing.
