Tantrix - New Spaces -

TANTRIX are back in November 2023 with a new 3 track EP '7 Year itch'. 

The new EP has literally been 7 years in the making as the tracks were started in 2016, but got shelved as we took a long break...they got dusted off and were mixed down and just about to be released in Feb 2020, then the pandemic happened, so they got shelved again...more dusting and tweaking in 2023 and finally, to be released 20th Nov 2023. 

Tantrix is Toby Pearce (UK) & Antonio Catalano (IT). Toby was originally a metal head and has played in various rock/metal/thrash bands but was turned onto electronic music in the early 90's and started frequenting trance parties in London, such as Megatripolis and Otherworld. Antonio arrived in Brighton (UK) in 2000 from a punk-rock background and techno orientation, he was instantly seduced by the psy scene and it was at several Brighton psy parties that the two met. It wasn't long before the pair got some pioneers and started playing at a few small parties. With two other psytalians, Gino (Ginetik) and Alessandro (Mentalex) the team put on a few outdoor parties; this was the origin of Freak Bazaar promotions which put on quality trance nights in Brighton venues for over 10 years.   

Antonio and Toby headed down the production path in 2007 and as 'Tantrix' they released their first track 'Extraordinary World' in 2009 on La Magica Boutique Records. Tantrix signed to Blue Hour Sounds Records in 2010 and released more tracks through their new label. In 2011 the debut EP 'Red' was released and one of the tracks 'Lost in Jesi' featured on the CD of Revolve magazine's Summer Edition. Between 2012-2016 another EP 'Two Tricks' and many other tracks were released on different labels including 'Hypnotrix' a collaboration with Hypnoise. 

Tantrix have played at many clubs, parties and festivals such as Hadra in France, Experience in Thailand and Freaks of nature in Germany. 

Tantrix took an extended break from writing music after 2016, but, after 7/8 years out of action, they're back!!!!! New music is coming in November 2023, with a new 'old school progressive' sound.
