Bio:

Michon (St. Petersburg, Russia) - DJ, sound producer, founder of the label Polyptych, author of Polyptych Stories radio show, artist of such labels as Superordinate Music, Somatic Records, One Of A Kind and others.

And really, Michon’s music is a mixture of different Melodic House / Techno genres, and his DJ-sets successfully balance between dynamic and atmospheric.

Winner of numerous remix contests, among which of an official remix contest for a hit-track “Angetenar” by Rompasso (the vocal version of the original is known as “Ignis“).
The author of official remixes for the tracks of such famous artists on the Melodic scene as Ewan Rill, Alexander Alar, Allies for Everyone, East Cafe, Alexey Romeo, and others.

Michon’s tracks and releases have repeatedly hit the TOP100 of Beatport and Traxsource, also supported by many DJs and producers on to the whole world. Today we welcome Edmond Weinfeld aka Ed Ed. Patience is a virtue, and it will pay off handsomely when you listen to Ed Ed's new recordings on labels such as Get Physical, Exploited, Watergate Records, Moodmusic, and others. His DJ mixes will pull you in, spew you out, and leave you a sweaty, happy mess in a calculated and engaging manner.

Bass groove twangs and rasps over a snappy beat, with a minimal approach to the accompaniments, opted for at first. Pitched-down vocals add haunting layers, and deep in the mix a droning techno synth rises and falls. Dashes of scintillating melodic scales work their way into the mix, heavily reverbed into the background. Next, a pizzicato-style blip riff passes through the track. Stabs pepper the track with more rhythmic intent, their tails extended here and there to draw them out further and deeper. All the while the shakers shuffle on and the beat and bass keep driving us forward.

When I started listening to electronic music I was 17 years old. I never knew what to expect and listened to typical mainstream songs, which were played on and on in radio shows.
In 2012 I moved to Berlin and started to explore the nightlife scene. I ended up loving and listening mostly to Melodic Techno, Minimal, Tech House and Techno. That taste didn't change until today. The dark vibes in combination with lyrics and a nice beat still give me goosebumps.
My desire to stand behind decks evolved slowly with the years. The final push of motivation I got when I lived in New York. Friends told me If I'm that interested in playing music I should start doing and teach myself.
 
In 2017 I moved back to Berlin and finally bought my first Dj equipment. After a few months of teaching myself, I could celebrate my first gig in a small night club in Berlin, which evolved into several afterwards. Later on I had the chance to travel a few months around South East Asia, which had a huge impact on me. I played a few shows in 3 different countries which includes Thailand, Laos and Cambodia. I met inspiring people who motivated me to take a step forward.
Nowadays I started to look into music production and put a lot of effort into the online market. I host a podcast show which launched very successfully with Djs from around the world. Therefore I met a lot of great people in the electronic scene from different countries and played for numerous Podcast shows.
 
The music I play is my most favourite and I don't get influenced by others. I try to tell a story through sounds and emotions and give the audience/listeners the best possible experience.
