TIME TRAVEL ist das Debütalbum des Würzburger DJs und Produzenten PAPPENHEIMER. Als Newcomer kann man ihn jedoch nicht mehr betrachten. In der deutschen Technoszene ist PAPPENHEIMER schon seit mehr als 15 Jahren aktiv und hat sich in den letzten Jahren eine beträchtliche Fanbase erspielt. So kann man den "Time Travel" als einen Querschnitt der letzten 15 Jahre verstehen. Vom Techno-Magazin PARTYSAN wurde PAPPENHEIMER 2013 zum "Newcomer des Jahres" gewählt, seine "Abfahrt"-Veranstaltungen sind deutschlandweit bekannt und seine Facebook-Fanseite hat bald die 50 000er Marke erreicht. Während andere DJs fest mit einem Genre verbunden werden, schafft PAPPENHEIMER es immer wieder, diese Genregrenzen zu sprengen. Genau das schafft er auch mit seinem Album, auf dem er Deep House und Tracks härterer Gangart aneinanderreiht, als wäre es selbstverständlich. Und genau hier liegt das besondere in TIME TRAVEL: Während andere Artistalben von Techno-DJs entweder in Monotonie versinken, sorgen die zehn Anspielstationen auf TIME TRAVEL für eine Kurzweiligkeit und Durchhörbarkeit, wie sie selten in dem Genre zu hören ist.

He gleefully skips between the beefed-up Spanish language disco cheeriness of "Celebremas" - a rework of a cover of Kool & The Gang's "Celebrate" - and the Clavinet-happy disco-funk muscularity of K.I.D tweak "Do It Again", before charging towards disco-house dancefloors via the beefed-up sweetness of "Love Somebody Today". The pie-eyed, smiling fun continues via the delicious disco-funk party vibes of "Ohio" and closing cut "To The Top", a chunky, horn-toting revision of another sing-along disco workout.

Empress were a disco funk band that produced one album. The single “Dyin’ To Be Dancin” was produced, written and performed by Crown Height Affair and the singer Gail Smith. Released in 1981 the track is considered an all time post disco boogie classic.

Tao Andra is a Romanian artist based in Lisbon. She synthesizes her hyperactive but sensitive personality into her music, blending different genres into her high energy performances. 

Her musical journey began in The Netherlands during her university years. Right away she became completely immersed in the Dutch Techno scene.

She describes the experience as “It feels like you finally find where you belong.”

She started to collect music on vinyl while teaching herself how to DJ. That is a common trait in her life, a lot of her skills are self-taught.

Techno speaks to her hyperactive personality, but sensitive nature. And that is how she builds her sets. The musical journeys she creates are always a mix between high energy, groove and emotional moments.

Her release “Gracias a la Vida” got global attention after Indira Paganotto played her track at MainStage Tomorrowland. In the aftermath, Andra has been featured in the Rolling Stone, CNN, and La Nácion. 

This year,  Charlotte de Witte has also been supporting her music, playing  her track "Brain Train" during the  closing of the MainStage at Tomorrowland. 

Tao Andra has brought her timeless sound to many corners of the world. From Brazil to Australia, Germany to India, Argentina to Japan.
