Hello… thanks for dropping by. This song is a loud, electric-slide song. It has overdriven slide, some homemade (learning how to:no drum kit) percussion, a vocal harmony and gravely vocals. I am happy I am able to do this at all, at 68 years of age… especially singing, which greatly wanes with age. (I really just started to sing within the last decade or so.) Traveling On… may be seen as a metaphor, or not, it doesn’t really matter. It might signify personal change or a movement toward and/or away from something. There is a hint of recognition, insofar as the unwavering essence of who we are… There is a suggestion of working toward peace. Again, this could be seen as metaphorical, in a sense of personal introspection. What do we espouse, condone and accept in this life for ourselves and society? Do you want to ‘Travel On’? I had the very good fortune to connect with Andy H aka “Noobly” a few months ago over music that we mutually admired and we agreed to find a future opportunity to collaborate. This is the result. Noobly’s beautifully rich track, propelled by his soaring guitar work, felt like a kind of call to prayer to my ear. I tried to echo this somewhat in singing the bridge. Lyrically, just for kicks I used the Socratic Method to construct the verses (persuasion through Q&A) so that this song’s meaning becomes self-evident and hopefully more of a personal experience for each listener. Bad Girl

eSTRANGEd couSINs is a project shaped by family, distance, and loss. Daniel grew up barely knowing his cousins Timmy and Kenny after his father left early in his life. While Daniel served in the military, Timmy and Kenny kept making music, and years passed without real contact.

After learning his father had died, Daniel reached out to Timmy. Their first deep conversation brought another heartbreak: Kenny had been killed in a motorcycle accident, and Timmy survived with serious injuries that stayed with him.

When they finally reunited, Timmy arrived with a thick notebook full of poems and songs written for his brother. The two walked to a dark boardwalk in the woods and played—Daniel on guitar, Timmy choosing pages by memory. Daniel recorded everything on his phone. The sound was raw and unpolished, but full of truth. Songs like “Let It Go,” “No Regrets,” “Wheels of Fate,” “Walk Upon Your Grave,” “Without You,” and “The Master of Pain” carried Timmy’s grief, love, and struggle to live with Kenny’s absence.

They spent years dreaming of creating more together. Daniel even wrote a full heavy album, hoping for another chapter. But that future changed when Daniel received the call that Timmy had passed away.

Though Timmy and Kenny are gone, their couSIN Daniel is still here, and the family line continues. eSTRANGEd couSINs now lives on as a dedication: a way to preserve Timmy’s voice, poetry, and spirit, and to let the world hear the heart behind their story.

TAPATORA name has multiple meanings. It is an ancient name for a male that was mainly used in Finland. It is also the name of an island near Tampere and if you translate it in English, it means kill the quarrel / dispute / wrangle.
