It had been over 35 years since I last played the guitar...

I started again at the end of July 2025.

On August 10, 2025, I recorded this cover with my cell phone,
WITHOUT EFFECTS, raw sound, with vocals and guitar.

When converting the file to Wav format, I simply heightened the volume.

First of all, I would like to thank two followers:

- Four months ago, the first one really encouraged me 
to pick up the guitar again.

- The second is someone I hold in high esteem, 
who gave me confidence and, above all,
strongly advised me to post this track as it is,
despite its imperfections (the chords weren't quite right,
the singing wasn't great...)

the alternate title to this song was "improvisations on a guitar with rusty old strings, played completely independently of each other, sitting near an open window, after bringing my cat home from the vet, recorded on my phone's voice memos app, with my phone sitting next to me on the bed, haphazardly combined using my computer"

i later changed it to the current title which makes much more sense.

A long story short - Mother died, long-term sickness (years ago) - made this song immediately after her passing.

Had lost the original files, now – found one decent sounding instrumental file and combined that with isolated vocal track, timing was different - so had to work on that a bit.

This is our second song... made 2020.

In Gaza / Ukraine / Russia and the rest of the conflicted world, people die - day in day out, we as a human race could care a bit more.

The raging wars serve as a catalyst for the lyrics in most of the existing and upcoming songs. It seems that killing each other is the only way forward as written in the lyrics on the song - The Violent Ones. 

The human suffering is beyond belief, it needs to END now. War Metal as I see it, is to write lyrics about the insanity of war and not to forget those who died ... 

These are some of the dark layers of life

TAPATORA name has multiple meanings. It is an ancient name for a male that was mainly used in Finland. It is also the name of an island near Tampere and if you translate it in English, it means kill the quarrel / dispute / wrangle.
