"He was fed up with these people. Those damned ignoramuses couldn't even tell the difference between the great Johann Sebastian Bach and a village band. Nevertheless, they insisted that his pieces be played. The beginning of a well-known piece was enough for them, and the priest had fun just improvising without the people noticing. These idiots had no idea. Just as little as they knew about his secret passion.... When the service was over, he would descend the stairs, sneak through the cloister... No one was ever allowed to know about his passion... They wouldn't understand... He crept into the catacombs where he had hidden his secret music studio. Full of anticipation, he opened "ToneZ" ....

This is mostly an experimental project to test my new audio interface. I wanted to make a really loud mix and master for a long time and it seems to be the right opportunity. The synth itself has a good sound with interesting possibilities, but it's very off putting in technical terms (very high CPU load, very long project loading time, frequent crashes etc.).

This instrument is really capable of abrasive overdriven tones, so I decided to make a darksynth track with a bit of acid techno influence.

07.07.24: Received Tape Lab’s mix a while ago and it already sounded good in it’s original state. “Capacity Bus” included a Moog bass, nice synth lines/melodies and the sample “i have the capacity to change…”. Loved it immediately. Now I only had to find the correct bpm and a track to blend “Capacity bus” with. Enter my old track “3 Scenarios” which chugs along with a hip-hop style beat and includes the vox of climate scientist Will Steffen. Using Traktor/S8 the 2 tracks lined up perfectly and really complemented each other. They form a kind of synthesis where our individual parts blend together as one musical shape/form moving in perfect synchronicity.
