Taped Artifact label boss Kevin Arnemann is back on his own label with a new three track EP. It marks only the Dutchman’s third release—the second on his own label after an EP from Natan H—but is a truly deep and atmospheric offering that takes its cues from many different sounds and scenes. 

Opener 'Concealed' is a deep, firmly rooted techno cut that is hugely expansive and cavernous, with smeared pads stretching out in all directions. The drums are heavyweight and rumble down low as grainy, lo fi atmospherics suck you in up top. 'Exposed' is another insular and heady house roller, this time with dubby chords fleshing out the more bumpy groove. Carefully filtered pads pan around the space to add a sense of scale as you glide along, then '19_Eleven' burrows deep underground with soft but driving drums, a heavy autumnal fog and lingering pads all trapping you in Arnemann’s stoned, bleak yet somehow inviting world.

Formed by a mixture of befriended artists who are considered all inner family members of the label. On the a-side Rotterdams Ben Buitendijk makes his first appearance on the label. Known for running his own Oblique label he here delivers a fast moving rough techno jam. More familiar faces in the form of Kaap, 543FF and Mistress producer Daniel Jacques will continue to bring their output to the young label with their vision on warm Detroit-esque dub techno.

The ever productive Conforce returns to one of his key home labels for another exploration of his prolific deep sea techno sound. His Haedron EP has a firm dance floor focus, designed to propel you ever further forwards.

'Haedron' sets things off with smeared chords adding scale to the knocking beats. Hi-hats glisten like light beams penetrating the deep ocean and it’s a typically warm and comforting track from the Dutchman. 'Scorched Earth' has harder techno kicks forcing you forwards. An ecosystem of claps, hats and twisted pads bring plenty of energy and suspense to the party, then 'Muon Transverse Momentum' manages to mix up hugely expansive chords with pillowy but dynamic drums and oodles of cuddly reverb. Last of all, 'Quantum Phaser' ups the ante with some timeless dub techno vibes that mixes Basic Channel with Planet E to mesmeric effect.
