From just south of Chicago IL, where many entertainment greats hail from including: the late great Richard Pryor, Kanye West, Ludacris, Miles Davis, Curtis Mayfield and many more. Marz was raised in the pentecostal church and was a gifted musician as a young boy playing drums and keyboards for many well known gospel artists that visited his church. From these early gospel roots came a soulful sound and God given ability to play the keyboard. Marz doesn't consider himself just a R&B artist, although that is the main genre of his music, he is an artist. 

Most all of the music you hear from him was written, produced, arranged, and performed by MarzB. He loves to incorporate sounds from the 90s R&B era and yet keeping a contemporary feel to his work. Music is a gift from God and MarzB tries to honor his spiritual roots in all of the music he presents.
