This is the original pitch of the sample, always liked how this one sounded despite pitching it down for 'Just Zone'. That tone fit the Nas acapella well, but for this version I like how both beats have their different vibes that lead into each other, first one being more light and airy, with the pitch down making the beat a bit darker and grimier, as expected really.

Maybe my favourite ever De La Soul song. Impossible to pick definitively, but this one always hits, the energy is so on point. Was very happy with the way this remix turned out, think it's got some positive energy despite being obviously emotional. Lots more to come in the future, will definitely be doing a full De La Soul album this year.

Was struggling for a while this week with what to put over this beat, took a lot of trial and error for sure. Thursday morning before work I still wasn't happy with any of the ideas, then thought Common would be the artist most likely to fit the overall vibe and sound here. I'd already tried the 'Used To Love H E R' acapella which wasn't working out, so I went for this one hoping it would be a good fit. I've had this acapella for ages and always wanted to do something with it, needless to say was defo happy with how it sounds over this beat (pitched the acapella up slightly so it's in key with the sample etc). 

Hope people enjoy this remix, pretty different from the clean sound of the original but I think the acapella works with that rugged vibe too - thanks for listening!

Almost remixed New Scapes with this beat, but I felt like the vibe was a bit too upbeat for the lyrical content. Layered up the sample quite a bit to get the bass hitting better, was pretty happy with the overall vibe of this one.
