I remember discovering this version of Gas Drawls after hearing a lot of DOOM's work as a part of KMD, it was at the very end of a Stretch and Bobbito show. It really blew me away, was like hearing the track for the first time again and was such an interesting insight into the transition from Zev Love X to DOOM. You can hear he's even referred to as X in this version, the flows are different, the delivery is wildly different to the Operation Doomsday version too. There's a different kind of energy to the main version so I wanted to remix this leading up the album dropping, thought this kind of simple but grimey beat would fit the hardcore demo vibes of this one. All I'll say is I tried to go as crazy as possible on the Operation Doomsday version of this track, and went for a very different vibe to this. Saving that for the album though. Can't wait to share that, hope people enjoy this version for now!
