Amit Sahni ki List - Violin Recital

A Saranga Convergence started out from a quest initially to make a psychedelic song. However what came about was a song that had strong influences of progressive rock and time signature experiments along with a carnatic 'thillana like' melody . This whole song came about within a few hours of jamming with the musicians and remains one of our favourites.

I asked my 80 year old grandaunt (Saraswathi Sankaranarayanan) who is stuck in my place due to the Covid-19 lockdown to record a simple song that my 8 year old son could learn to sing. She picked this 500 year old Tiruppugazh 1328 (Erumayil Eri), and I played the violin accompaniment and added an ambient guitar background
