Description: It's the 167th edition of KVR's One Synth Challenge and this month was pick a DAW, any DAW, and use a synth included in that DAW. So I went for perhaps the second most obvious option: Ableton Live's Wavetable.

I like the warm but sometimes dissonant chords. Creates some tension.

Really fun chord progression and rhythmic energy

Great use of exotic scales (is it harmonic major?). A really nice DnB track overall...

There's something unsettling in this tune, and I like it.

i really like this section. Perhaps the kick is a little overpowering in the break compared to the other drums, could maybe gel together a bit more.

this is really interesting - very musical, and a little quirky....

I like the very loose feel to this - kind of hard to pin it down....

The Assignment: Record the first third of a trio.

Last summer, after an accident, I had to stop playing double bass. This is my second attempt to get back to the instrument after months of silence, I thought this could be a nice opportunity to share the process and slowly start to get my hands on it to see how it feels and how my body responds to playing.
Focused on improvisation, gesture, silence and number 7. 

7 seconds of music are followed by 7 seconds of silence. 14 seconds of music are followed by 14 seconds of silence. 21 seconds of music are followed by 21 seconds of silence. Repeat and then decrease time until the last 7 seconds of silence.
Loosely based on recording pre-count at ~ 60.50 bpm 
No timer was used during the process, so there may be irregularities.
I only played my double bass open G string with a bow.
Added some slight Mimeophon delay-modulation then a bit of chorus + phaser + tape effect (encoderaudio Ferro) in Ableton Live.
I kept volume low in order to make it possible to work on it and mix further things for future use.

Sorry!! Too boingey, noisey and random!! Sounds like a broken arcade game ...

For creating this I selected the middle section of my track https://soundcloud.com/rabmusiclab/rabbits-delight, cut in into a jigsaw puzzle of 6 pieces, present these pieces to the listener first, and then put the puzzle together piece by piece.

Surge sounds way better than I remember back in 159. ....I suppose this track is unusual in that it has 3 or 4 minute middle section that is ambient "background" music before having two minutes at the end with much more happening. Hopefully a few of you will appreciate what I have done here.
