I recorded 7 tracks with a Tele(partscaster) and 2 with my Larivee acoustic. All direct into the interface as opposed to mic recorded. The acoustic was set all the way to the microphone position, bypassing the saddle pickup. Hence, "direct" flow. The flow comes from a conversation with a dear artist friend in Bisbee, AZ. This was one of those ideas that just happened and I went with it. More to come...

Winsome arrangement, sequence project

I built this song around the acoustic guitar part. The song came together in about an hour. Forgot about it for a couple years. I had always had the drum and bass parts in my head, so it was time to get it out. I call this "1977" because of the obvious sound. Also because I started playing guitar that year, when I was 12. It was really fun to hear the sounds that took shape, as I added parts and the direction each section took. I managed to record the parts as I heard them in my head, also which is something I feel I've gotten better at over the years. At the same time, it was exciting to hear things I didn't expect. This is a nostalgic piece, in a sense for me. There are some cliches in here, I know and that's cool with me, because I haven't recorded this style before. This was a damn fun time.....but I'm glad I'm done! Epic.

This is from a recording with my phone. I was laying sod, pushing a 20 gallon roller filled with water to compact the grass into the soil. 
Had some fun with it in Cubase SX and here is the outcome...

It is purely coincidental that this track clocks in at 4:20.
Brought this back with me from just outside the town of Basalt, Colorado. A couple months ago, I got away from covid crazy for a week in the Rockies of Colorado, as well as New Mexico and on over to Moab, Utah, to do a Facebook Live Stream from Arches . . . all in a week's time. I met up with some friends along the way and this the song I came up with during my time with them, while enjoying the "fruits" of Colorado.
