Él es uno de los nuestros, uno de la casa, de los de siempre. Ha estado ahí desde los inicios de Portal y nosotros hemos estado para él. Él es Portal. Le vimos comprar su primer cacharrito, bailar en su primera pista, crear su primer track y el último!

Su perseverancia y pasión desenfrenada por la música le han llevado al punto de ser un capo de la electrónica. El chaval lo parte y ya está, esa es la realidad. Su sonido ha evolucionado desde lo más primitivo en su primera etapa hasta la máxima crema que genera hoy día tras día echándole horas a las máquinas.

Este live grabado del tirón en audio y sin permiso para fallar ni un detalle, viene cargado de sonidos gordos de ambos lados del charco, ritmos sci-fi bien revolucionados con paisajes sonoros eléctricos que denotan la buena influencia de motor city.

Creo que llegado a este punto, sobran las palabras porque este Live set habla por sí solo.

Set the Mood welcomes Alfonso Hernando (a.k.a. Tare), a devoted selector whose perspective on the perfect opening set is as thoughtful as his music. For Alfonso, a warm-up is not just about playing slower tracks; it's about shaping a sonic environment, gradually building tension, and allowing the night to find its natural rhythm. In this set, he carefully selected dub techno records that embody this ethos: deep, atmospheric sounds that suit both a dance floor slowly waking up and a serene sunset. A passionate lover of techno and house, Alfonso is a Spanish DJ based in Utrecht, the Netherlands. His deep connection to vinyl and constant search for new sonic textures have shaped sets that blend emotional depth, rhythmic energy, and a strong musical narrative. After years of collecting records and refining his craft, Alfonso has played on local radio stations and club nights, and now leads MORPH — a platform dedicated to celebrating vinyl culture and the underground scene in the Netherlands.

His vinyl-only sessions invite listeners into immersive journeys through atmospheric techno, raw house, and hypnotic rhythms, with a clear influence from the cutting edge of the European scene. With every set, Alfonso creates space for connection, movement, and exploration.

Tare - Set the Mood 049 (Oefenmeesters) (Vinyl mix)

This recording captures Moosdohmen’s live modular set at the first MORPH event, held on June 27, 2025, at OT301 in Amsterdam.

He opened the night with a slow, dub-influenced performance built entirely on his modular system. Deep bass, spacey textures and steady rhythms set the mood as people started arriving and the room slowly filled up.

This is the first release of our new series: Sounds of Morph, where we’ll be sharing selected sets recorded during our events.
