Welcome to the archives for Rock'd Soul Radio.  Here you will find the tracks from any of my on-site broadcasts.  The last Wednesday of each month, I will be broadcasting live from the Friendly Tap in Berwyn, IL for Open Mic night.  This is also the source for my tarot podcast, Personal Tarot Radio.  PTR is an internet radio show that covers all things metaphysical.  Each show features a tarot education, news from the magickal world and intriguing guests from various fields in the tarot, psychic and spiritual worlds.

The Band Royale was born out of love for big guitar riffs, an appreciation for the finer things, and a mutual obsession with science fiction. And they are able to sneak these things into their sound without scaring off the opposite sex. 

Brothers Joel, Nate, and Zach Bauman grew up in the working-class town of Kalamazoo, MI, each with an immediate passion for music (passed down from their parents -- their mother, a music teacher and their father, a school principal). At an early age, their shared obsessions with music, sports, and culture made the pursuit of playing in a band together an obvious choice. Once they moved to Chicago, they teamed up with Louisville, KY native Marc Najjar (also with a strong Music Education background and a love of heavy riffs and sports) to make the heaviest music they could that would inspire some serious baby-making.

Based in Chicago, Me Jane formed in the fall of 2011 when Marites Velasquez (bass), Sarah Braunstein (drums) and Katie Gallegos (guitar) started playing together in  basements throughout the city. Kyla Denham (keys) joined a year later, rounding out the lineup and adding a layer to the “artful nuances” that define the group’s sound. ISON marks the quartet’s first full-length album. It was recorded and mixed during the bleary winter of 2013 by Benjamin Balcom (Atlas Sound, CAVE, Cass McCombs) at MINBAL studios.
