This is an alt-pop song.  It’s on its 27th iteration, and essentially done.  I’m so close to finishing this tune, and it’s going to be the first single on my debut album (coming 2022!) This is a thing where I just played a riff I just came up with and just jammed out a thing, where I discovered in the solo bit (MID FLIGHT!) how to do this way up there blues solo lick, and it felt wild and it went good.

This is going to be track 1 from my RELATIVELY SOONISH TO BE RELEASED DEBUUUT AAAAAALBUMMMMM!! It’s about climate change and mass death and I hope you agree that it’s also a banger that you can dance to. This is an unmastered final iteration, which i’m sharing with you now because i’m proud of the song as it is, and these sorts of works in progress interest me.  I wrote it, sang it, played and recorded all the instruments and samples, and it took ages, so you’d better bloody well appreciate it. X

I wrote this song in 2006. It was an acoustic guitar and vocal driven song, sonically inspired by the soundtrack to Peter Best’s soundtrack to Crocodile Dundee. It’s going to be track 2 of the album TOTRP, coming out later this year. This is the unmastered version, as good as I can get it to sound. So the final, mastered version will be just a wee bit louder and more professional sounding. I hope you like it like this tho 💜

This is a 20 second long tiny song, which I made for a segment on my YouTube show - The TARS HENRY CHANNEL SHOW. I wanted it to be a banger, and also to serve a very specific purpose, and I feel I managed to fulfill that brief. It might be a little scary sounding, but I kind of like that.  It reminds me of a cross between Jamie XX and Sleaford Mods, but I did not set out to make it that way. I like both of those artists a lot anyway, so that’s not a problem for me. Thanks, H

REAL AND TRUE FANMAIL

A cloud of Bluebirds is a song I started writing in about 2009. It took a LONG TIME to finish it, but I loved the chords I was using, and it would not go away until it was done. I was in a band, Make A Halo, when I started writing this song, and I am very very fortunate that the drummer was Ben Farnsworth - an insanely talented drummer. I am still friends with him, and even though the band broke up in 2009, in 2018 we recorded him drumming for this song. After that we recorded my guitars and vocal, and later I added electronic drums and piano too. I spent ages editing what we had in to this track. This year, 2024, I did a very brief EQ and even briefer and very amateurish job at mastering the song, and I think I will leave it at that. I hope you like it anyway, love H
