Epic Beyond Belief

'Ascertain' is an original composition inspired by a crime novel with comedic elements. I used 8dio's Wrenchenspiel, Polyphon, Epic Room Percussion and Epic Taiko Ensemble as well as recorded myself playing the piano (Yamaha Yus3); The Sample Instruments add all the mystic and suspenseful atmosphere to the theme played on the piano; Toms and Wrenchenspiel (especially the built-in sequencer) make up the rhythmic elements;

This summer my father read the biography of Spanish navy admiral Blas de lezo, which was born in Pasaia (Basque country), my homeland. My father told me about him and the epic battle he fought and won in Cartagena de Indias against the British navy and army, which was highly greater than the Spanish one. Some days later my father came to me and said: You have to make a composition inspired in the battle of Cartagena de Indias. That´s what I did, so here you have it!
