This week we welcome accomplished Italian producer Nico Lahs, aka  Nicola Loporchio.  Hailing from Bari(Italy)he has been releasing deep, classy house music and high-quality sounds for over a decade on the likes of Ovum, Poker Flat and Rawax to name a few.

2020 saw the producer ramp up his output after a five years hiatus during which he focused on his Cosmic Garden alias and started his label Cosmic Rhythm, releasing in May “Freedom”, an LP of smokey vintage house,via Detroit born/Beijing based Adeen Records, to then issue a 12-inch via Brooklyn’s Dailysession Records and finally cap off this stellar run with an EP, “Blow Your Mind”, on Dan Curtin’s Metamorphic Recordings.

This year Nico Lahs released “Got Me Coming Back” on Jimpster’s Delusions Of Grandeur and “Make Up - The Edits” which is a compilation of hand picked 70s & 80s 39s featuring hidden dance, funk and disco gems compiled by Chez Damier which have been retouched and edited himself.

5 years of hard work in our East London studio, it's time for Burnin Music and his protagonists to celebrate with style.

We decided to contact all the artists that we came across in 5 years, whether they released on the label or not, and asked them for demos!

The quality of stuff we received was so brilliant that we moved from releasing a digital-only compilation to a vinyl record!

We are super pleased to introduce you to 8 tracks by 8 brilliant producers hailing from Tel Avi, Paris, London, Leipzig and Munich.

8 man, 8 definitions of electronic music but 1 common sound, Burnin Music.

To compliment the music we asked Theo Cerri, a talented Italian artist living in Edinburg, to design the cover.

We hope you enjoy the music as much as we had fun to put together that project.

Frits Wentink, a man of many talents across a multitude of styles. The Netherlands native first burst onto the scene with his first release back in 2012 and from then on has continued to be one of the countries most consistent artists. Frits loves to experiment with warm wobbly synths and we love it too, that partnered with his impeccable dusty grooves is a sure recipe for success, which has lead him to release on some highly established labels such as Heist, Wolf & Shall Not Fade. He’s also the proud head honcho at both Will & Ink and Bobby Donny, two outstanding outlets. An extremely talented and busy man, which is why we are very excited to bring him onto the magazine for a little chat.
