This is a project from Week 1 of a DIY synthesizer workshop with Dogbotic. I used a contact mic on a metal mixing bowl with water in it, a motor with a fan attached, and a photoresistor. I wanted to keep the processing to a minimum and showcase the original recordings, so there is just some compression, panning, and chopping up in a sampler to make them somewhat interesting.

Dear Prudence

This is a song I wrote for my partner for her birthday.  A little background:  She has vivid dreams that often devolve into night terrors, but she loves when she is able to fly in them.  The first night she met my mom, she woke up screaming in the early morning and I tried to comfort her by yelling, "Hey hey hey hey hey!" like a barking seal.  I guess the only way I can be sentimental is by making a joke.
