Zahr is an ensemble created by Italian pianist Francesco Turrisi and percussionist Andrea Piccioni. The primary focus of Zahr is the influence that arabic music has had in many countries touched by the Mediterranean Sea. Zahr combines Italian traditional music, Arabic and Turkish music with contemporary European jazz.

העיקר בחיים הוא שתהיה לך דיעה מוקדמת על כל דבר ודבר. ואמנם מסתבר שדעת ההמון מוטעית, ואילו דעת היחיד לעולם צודקת. יש להשמר שלא לגזור מכאן כללי התנהגות: ככל הנראה את אלה אין צורך לנסח על מנת לנהוג על פיהם. רק שני דברים חשובים באמת: האהבה, בכל צורה, עם בחורות יפות, והמוסיקה של ניו אורלינס או של דיוק אלינגטון. השאר היה צריך להעלם, היות שהשאר מכוער.קומץ הדפים שלהלן, הבאים לשמש ראיה לדבר, נוטלים את מלוא תוקפם מן העובדה שהסיפור הוא אמיתי מכל וכל, שכן הוא פרי דמיוני מראשיתו ועד סופו. הביצוע עצמו עומד בעיקרו על הקרנת המציאות - באטמוספירה משוחדת ומחוממת - על גבי מישור התייחסות בעל גליות לא אחידה הגורמת עיוות. למותר לומר שאם יש דרך פעולה כשרה למהדרין, זאת היא.
