Damon Medek is a Minneapolis, MN based singer-songwriter. He began playing guitar at age 13 and has now grown professionally in the music industry. Roles he takes part in vary from music producer, mix engineer, recording engineer, and live sound engineer. Although capable of doing many skills, his heart has always belonged to songwriting, and producing. He includes pop, acoustic, alternative, and sometimes electronic elements in his music. Damon also owns an audio production and publishing company called Flawless Audio Productions.


Damon Medek is a multi-instrumentalist. He plays piano, guitar, bass & drums. 

Damon Medek has been Mentored by Platinum selling Producer Paul Peterson. Mentored by Grammy-nominated Mixer Brian Powers. Mentored by Logic X Certified Teacher Steve Yeager.  Mentored by Vice President at Slam Academy (Electronic Production School) Leon J. Damon Medek Graduated with an Associates degree in Audio and Recording Arts from Minneapolis Media Institute in September 2015.


He starting singing soon after learning guitar at age 14. He then began studying with vocal coach Ken Taylor, a Brett Manning certified teacher. Brett’s Students include Taylor Swift, Hayley Williams, Keith Urban, Frank Petrucci, and Wes Hampton.


Damon has studied songwriting since he was 14 years old. His lyrics are always filled with imagery and warm metaphors, casting color on words alongside his music. He stands on the shoulders of greats, like Pat Pattison who has taught 2 Grammy winning songwriters, Gillian Welch and John Mayor, Damon Medek strives to be his third student.


Damon Medek is working towards the big leagues in the music industry in hopes of working with with some of the best in the business and continuing his journey as an artist.

Cantharone is a metal band. What does that really mean? Not much. In this day and age anything is possible, and while some are skeptical as to what that truly means, Cantharone welcomes it with an open mind.

The band formed in 2010. Finding their sound as an aggressive trio, they began writing a conceptual album about a werewolf. Two years later they added a second drummer and guitar player, daring to create a bigger, more explosive sound. 

In 2012, on Halloween, they released their first EP, The Hunting EP, at a house show in Saint Paul, Minnesota. In the months leading up to this event, they filmed a music video for the title track, “The Hunting” at the same house, which was also released that Halloween. 

The band then hit the road, playing throughout Iowa, Wisconsin, and Minnesota. In August of 2013, they organized and put on their own music festival called Canthrammer. The festival brought together local metal and outlaw country bands in a benefit for Wounded Warriors, a local charity for veterans.

Since then the band has changed once again. After two members left they added a new bass player, one of the drummers began playing guitar, and the vocal approach has totally changed. The newly-made 4-piece metal band has been writing new material since January, and will continue to challenge the limits of metal as we know it.

Though going through many changes, Cantharone has never skipped a beat. When faced with challenges, they take them head on and create something new and exciting. They are not a band to pass up. They are an unstoppable force of metal and they are here to stay.
