The song was originally written by Amanda Lehmann (http://www.amandalehmann.co.uk/) who in recent years has been a regular member of Steve Hackett's live band as well as performing vocal and guitar work on his studio albums since "Out Of The Tunnel's Mouth".

The arrangement in this version is a collaboration between Amanda Lehmann and Eddy Deegan.

Synthesizer arrangement, composition of some additional musical sections and mixing by Eddy Deegan.

Equipment used: Yamaha SY85, Quest Atak 2 electric guitar with a handful of the usual BOSS pedals, an SM57-like mic, a compressor (model unknown) and a Roland DEP-3 reverb. 

Originally recorded on an Akai Professional MG614, synchronising the onboard sequencer of the Yamaha SY85 (using a Roland TR-707 to convert FSK to MIDI clock) and mastered direct from the Akai and the SY85 to DAT. The 2021 remaster was done (using Presonus Studio One v5 hosting Ozone 9) from a digital clone of the DAT recording.

About a week before Advent performed at the MARPROG festival in 2009, we decided to try adding "Oglethorpe's Dream" (a miniature Alan had just composed for Stick and harpejji) to our set list. Alan brought his Stick to Ben's place and they ran through the piece for the very first time together. This was one of the best passes from that brief session, captured informally on a Zoom H2. While somewhat imperfect, this recording still provides a reasonably good indication of how the arrangement was meant to sound. We hope you enjoy it!

This one has been sitting in the can for 5 years. Music written by Tom Kelly (1952–2017), interpreted by me and without a seal of approval from the composer (apologies Tom), but I think it's okay. Crazy guitar solo in the Blues Valse by Dick Hill, though I sliced, diced, and backwarded it into oblivion. (Apologies Dick.)
I'd prefer to redo a few of the flubs, but the master tracks went bye-bye with my one and only hard drive crash (knock wood) in late 2011. This should be played loud (like the “Post M’s Debacle” tune). Requirements: 10:30 of your life. Don't forget to vote.

A piece that Alan originally composed for Stick and harpejji (the first composition/arrangement ever completed for that particular pair of instruments to the best of our knowledge). It was actually the first tune completed for Advent's third CD, however Ben's departure resulted in the loss of harpejji--and, as such, the piece has been put on the shelf for the time being. In the interim, we hope that you enjoy this solo demo version with Alan playing both Stick and Clavinet (the latter in place of harpejji).

My very first solo piece, recorded in 1987 on a TASCAM Porta One (four-track cassette machine). Instrumentation: electric guitars, 12-string acoustic guitar, synthesizers (Moog "The Source" & Roland Juno-106), and flute.
