Talfer - Breathe

In this piece the newly invented string instruments are playing in combination with flute, soprano voice and piano. The strings are being stretched between the beams of the mezzanine of the building and also hanging from the ceiling beams with heavy weights on them. The hanging strings surround the audience and musicians. A very special building HET VEEM (Van Diemenstraat 410, 1013 CR Amsterdam) - former warehouse, where the piece was premiered, inspired us to create these instruments and this composition. The concert was performed as a part of Toetsdestijds Concerten Series.

This track reminds me that I'm still trying to figure out my place in this world but I know I'm getting close.

I've been having random bouts of brutal honesty lately... each longer than the last. Transitions are hard and extremely demanding... however, I became aware of what was happening earlier in the shift and decided to change MY approach this time. I decided to focus on me... I brought it inward and now I'm aware of the need to completely break to rearrange all your pieces to where they need to be for you. So with this I say "Hello, my name is Tayeo and this is who I am."
