ᵉⁿᵃᵘᶠⁱ (fka calub) – a singer/song improviser and pianist – began releasing recordings in 2016, using a phone to simultaneously capture live piano and vocal recordings. admittedly, enaufi’s songs were created without application of music theory; translating their subconscious into freeform song, cutting out the dead air (if needed, using the recording app) and releasing as is. every original idea was made without preparation, by simply leaning into flow state, earning them a raw and uncouth sound that’s unbound from time signatures and key. this archive serves as a starting point for ᵉⁿᵃᵘᶠⁱ, documenting their most well freeformed songs

ᵉⁿᵃᵘᶠⁱ uploaded the EP: “overt”, under their previous moniker, a compilation of freeform songs spanning from the years 2016–2017, later releasing “icy in ur eyes” on 02/20/2018
