Although born out of the sleepy town of Newmarket, ON, Rue Bella’s sound is anything but provincial. Bending the carnival menace of Tom Waits and gritty alt-rock acts like PJ Harvey and Hole, Rue Bella define themselves in a sultry marriage of disparate genres.

Quickly making a name for themselves, Rue Bella won Rock 95's Local & Loud 2016 competition, going on to play legendary venues including The Horseshoe Tavern, Lee's Palace, and Mavricks Music Hall; opening for arena acts such as The Trews and Finger Eleven.

Rue Bella released their first self-titled EP in 2016 to critical success. Their first full-length 'Flirt with the Dirt', produced by John-Angus MacDonald (the Trews, the Glorious Sons) is a snapshot of a band on a sonic bender, not quite ready to dry out.

This talented young Singer / Producer has glittered the reggae industry with her unique style of song-writing. Fusing reggae with acoustic R&B, 
The Jempress has quickly impressed her peers and fellow musicians. 

Dubbed “Golden Voice” and “Angel Voice”, her honeyed melodies and entrancing 
harmonies are influenced by her background in Classical piano and her love for acoustic 
strings.

Asked by many in the media “What does she prefer, Reggae or RnB?”, 
The Jempress proudly answers with a smile, "I am not handcuffed by genre”…

The Jempress continues to incorporate a variety of cultures and styles into her music as she is exposed to them in her passion for all forms of art – especially dance.

The Jempress’ first year in the industry earned her two Canadian reggae music awards:
(2009 CRMA – Best Female Newcomer; 2009 RMAA – Most Promising Artist),
she has been called upon to perform for international dignitaries,
she has duetted with dancehall legend - Shabba Ranks,
was a guest on international television broadcast feature - “Synergy Nights” (Trinidad and Tobago) 
as well as Rogers TV’s local Nikki Clarke Show
and is increasingly gaining international acclaim.
In June, The Jempress received the ReggaeXclusive Magazine’s Reggae Music Recognition Award for her unprecedented representation of Canadian reggae music with her repertoire world - wide.

Her music transcends all barriers. Fans of all ages and races agree that 
The Jempress’ music can be played for many years to come.

The Noolands are an eclectic group of longtime Canadian friends from Barrie Ontario with a tendency to float between rock genres and yet still maintain a uniquely focused and familiar vibe. Over the last 5 years, the group cultivated their fanbase organically from the ground up with two EPs, rounds of singles and music videos, eventually producing two charting songs, sold out shows & festivals around Canada and becoming a beloved staple of their hometown music scene and beyond. Their latest nostalgic summer release 1992 melds sounds similar to Vampire Weekend, Arcade Fire and Wilco with the unstoppable momentum of Oasis. The song explores the fear of change and accepting troublesome parts of who we are. Remaining on the outskirts of the industry, the band continues to quickly maneuver obstacles together and freely change direction to continue deepening their connection with friends and fans in a new world with many new songs...
