The epitome of an 80’s baby..so his first crush with music probably came somewhere in-between the earth wind and fire that brought him here and discovering The Last Poets, KRS, Rakim, to Prince digging through his pop’s records. From there this love affair began to compete with his infatuation with history, art, and literature as The Def Squad, Pearl Jam, Outkast, the WU, and Bone Thugs invaded his tape decks. Diction had a jones for the arts, so naturally began creating his own pieces. Through grade school he noticed that his shine differed from peers who followed the current trends of getting money or lifestyles depicted by their favorite rappers to no avail. Realizing what set the “GREATS” apart from the average; noticing that is not what your say, but how its is presented that matters. He stood alone and continued to bait a style that he could call his own until formulating a contraband of intricate speech. Thus, spawning a persona worthy of defining his talent and drive.

Diction continued to travel on as a composition yielding vagabond through his SCHOOL DAZE until running into a squad of EMCEES, ARTISTS, and PRODUCERS who were just as dope and unique as he. He became affiliated with the SHORT BUS ALUMS, and since the first mix-tape it’s been on. Through many trials, wins, and losses the one they call DICTION is still here evolving. Currently an architect by day, beast by night… THAT’S HIS-STORY THE REST IS TO BE CONTINUED… 


This project is a collection of childhood memories sprinkled throughout a collection of instrumentals. Each track title represents a chapter of our upbringing and the many changes on Green Moss Lane. The project begins with my father’s vision to have our first home built from an empty lot. Music is introduced to us at an early age by my mother’s deep rooted background in the church choir and high school band. As we grew older so did our experience and passion for music and fitness. Long talks at the dinner table ignited the idea to cycle from Washington DC back to Charlotte. As we entered our teenage year’s changes occurred and changes needed to be made. In 1996 we moved from Charlotte to Mesa Arizona….
