Shouts to Syz for joining me as November's guest on Foundation FM. For the show, we explored the theme of "Natural Sonics". During his last year of uni, he made a selection of tracks for his final year project that played to this theme. Syz set out exploring virtual experiences of nature and natural processes, all while filtered through the modern media scape. He used field recordings of environments, animals, weather to create weird textures/ patterns and combined it with dance floor rhythms. A perfect opportunity to be showcasing some of the project!

Big love to @djbetty joining me as May’s guest for Foundation. I met Betty for the first time in 2015 and was taken back by her friendliness and welcoming energy. I hadn’t been working in music in Ldn for long but had known of her through her prestigious Rinse reputation and a guest mix she’d done for Insert at a similar sort of time. Betty’s sound is a perfect melting pot of attitude and emotion, balancing fierce club with grime, alongside thoughtful and experimental electro. Super lucky to have had the wonderful Giulia Tess (aka @giuliatess) guest on my Foundation FM show back in June (which I've finally been able to upload!) For this guest mix, Giulia Tess spins an eclectic mix of experimental club, bass, techno and beyond. She very much knows how to keep energy high whilst taking you on a journey. Giulia Tess and I met very haphazardly at a midweek club night we'd randomly ended up at on our own.
