Among my collection of mixtapes are the "unknowns." There are (at least) six of them, this is #3. Now, this could be a mixtape that was distributed by a dj, or a cassette that I just slipped into the recorder when some friends were over the apartment laying down tracks just for fun. IF you recognize the former, please let me know! Regardless, I thought some of you would dig hearing what was on it. Trainspot away.

Releasing records together since 1996 (and individually since 1991!), the guys have since graced the scene with 3 LP’s and hundreds of singles and EP’s, their contribution to the drum and bass landscape both essential and highly influential.

Their SUNANDBASS Podcast is typical of their style when behind the 1’s and 2’s. It’s absolutely chock full of fresh and unheard tracks – and ranges from the more melodic side of the spectrum, through to the harder and more rolling style too.

Perhaps one of the biggest tracks to come out of our scene Pulp Fiction signaled a new direction for jungle, it was pioneering in its execution. Not everyone understood it at first but it became an enduring anthem that is played to this day and never fails to get a reaction.
