That slow process of listening and reworking is something I totally get. It’s hard to let go of parts you’re attached to but necessary to make the song better. I think it really captures what songwriting feels like... at least I think so, not being a songwriter... it feels honest and inspiring. Well done!!!🫶

JM Nostromo New Fold Two

A simmer version for me is when I have first exhausted an idea and filled it to a point where there is little room for obvious new instrumentation. This is actually a creative wall for me usually which I need to break down. I'm starting to learn when working with other artists that deconstructing an idea is essential especially when you get to point where certain instruments dominate. This can be difficult because it usually 
 involves sacrificing bits you may be connected to. I tend to have a habit of making the current thing I'm playing the very best I can throughout but that doesn't nessesarily translate to what the instrument could do best with whats already there.
I also call it the simmer version as it's usually this point I will go on a journey of listening to the idea for around a week 50 - 100 times and let it literally simmer into the brain. That way I'm feeding my subconscious with it so when I attempt it again I have that better reference making the difficult bits easier to perform. It's practice without practicing, just listening and it's a vital part of the process for me

ISN’T HARD TO TELL (Who Controls America)

Howdy Friends,

This is somewhere to put tunes when other tracks are getting digested 🤘🏽A digestion period is something I never give people so I think it's time to try it. I feel when collaborating with large groups of musicians my routine of daily uploads takes the shine off those shares so this profile was born from wanting to deliver that period but still fullful my desire to share everything as it comes to light. In the short term his will likely lessen my play count which I don't mind because this is about making TBD bigger and more financially successful in the future so experimenting with presentation should be worth it.  I think this should show an evolution to TBD's organic following better and I won't be bombarding everyone with a confusing amount of material like currently happens on the main account.
This also expands my desire to share more detail on the process and teach it more. Because I know I'm not pushing everything to everyone it will feel a bit better sharing thoughts and long jams here and will still be a door open for whoever might want to connect to that. I'll follow back genuine people here but I think I will avoid seeking people out from this page as again that should give a better outline of the reality of my music and how organic it is actually becoming for people and remove a bit of the SoundCloud routine from the mix. All going well I can upgrade this profile to artist pro and maybe endeavour to cover a sub with it and move passed the 120min limit of a free profile. Rock and Real to everyone.
