Buch 5 von "Hinter uns das Land" schlägt ein neues Kapitel auf: Die Schrecken des Krieges liegen hinter den Protagonisten, doch die Narben sind tief. Diese Musiksammlung begleitet die Familie Feyerabend in der Nachkriegszeit, einer Zeit des Wiederaufbaus, der Hoffnung und des langsamen Heilens.

Die Musik zu Buch 5 ist eine eklektische Mischung aus Stilen und Epochen, die die Vielschichtigkeit des Neubeginns widerspiegelt.
