San Francisco is a typical harbour town.

Nestling amongst its environs are all kinds of different communities, each bringing with them their own Saturday night soundtrack. Hailing from the West Coast, PillowTalk are proud to call San Francisco home.

The three piece chop up electronic music into different shapes, manipulating classic pop, R&B, house and more into their own distinctive blend.

Sammy D, Ryan Williams and Mikey Tello recently completed work on their new album, with 'Je Ne Sais Quoi' finding the trio moving beyond their influences.

Currently on tour, PillowTalk are set to play London's 338 Studios on April 20th. A huge Easter weekend show, it's part of a wider tour (in a double decker bus, no less) which has taken the group across Europe.

To coincide with their capitol visit, PillowTalk have prepared a special mix for Clash readers. Opening with Ella Fitzgerald, it's a diverse selection which touches on French electro before settling into some chopped up dancefloor shapes.

San Franciscan trio PillowTalk dish out this weeks mix; a sublime hour long work out which perfectly showcases their wonderfully unique sound. Sammy D, Ryan Williams and Michael Tello's fusion of classic underground house along with modern RnB and boogie flexes all began by jamming around a baby grand piano in a kitchen about a year ago, and now can be heard on labels such as Wolf + Lamb, Life and Death, and Visionquest. Their alluring and charming pop-dance songs are inspired by anyone from the Beach Boys to Larry Heard, and we just can't get enough of them. This podcast is class from start to finish; an absolutely essential listen.

You are still trying to behave and reason, but it is too late. F***K Yeah!!! You throw your arms in the air and the baboon’s swing has taken over your body too. 

The only way you'll get rid of him is to find him another party.

ϟ∆i'ϟ BiO:

Sai was born in Latvia, then still part of the formal USSR, under the  so called iron curtain. Sai grew up listening to disco. When he was still a teenager, dressing up and going to underground parties inspired him to become a DJ. Sai's first DJ gig was at a night club called the SECRET EXPERIMENT, he was aged only 18 and did B2B PunkRock set with his sister BETA who was well known fashion icon at that time. In 1995 Sai moved to London and started working at MINISTRY OF SOUND where he made friends with the dance music industries top promoters and DJ's. After six months he landed he’s first DJ residency and one year later Sai started his own night called "Magic Punch Party" which he was running for over 10 years. Sad closure of many London's historical venues left a big hole in Londons club scene and Sai turned to UK's growing festival scene. 
Today Sai is behind LUCID LOVER.
