Solid Grooves Records co-founder Michael Bibi partners alongside KinAhau for 'Different Side', featuring genre-spanning electronic duo Audio Bullys. 

Needing little introduction for both track and artists involved, Solid Grooves opens 2023 with one of the most highly anticipated ID requests from founder Michael Bibi's sets across the past 18 months. An instantly recognisable production which has soundtracked nights at The Grooves Motel at DC-10 through to ELOVATE events across the globe in London, New York, Buenos Aires and Tulum, early March finally sees the release of 'Different Sides' as Bibi partners with emerging Mexican DJ/producer and Solid Grooves artist Kinahau for the impactful 'Different Side' - featuring UK dance mainstays Audio Bullys.

Harnessing iconic vocal from Audio Bullys' 2003 single 'We Don't Care', Bibi and Kinahau transport things into a new realm across 'Different Sides', employing skippy drums, icy hats and a menacing bassline - coupled with a few signature percussion fills - for a peak-time anthem loaded with energy.

PremEar: One Over - Looking for a Beat [MF013]

Andre Zimmer has been a major driving force in the underground house scene in the last 6-8 months. He released a single on his own label, birthing his imprint Big Trouble Records and quickly received support from those leading charge in the underground dance scene. Shortly after release, Black Book Records licensed the track and had it come out as an official record.

Reelow lands on Griffintown Records with another selection of his cultured but club ready cuts.

Hungarian DJ and producer Reelow is Barcelona-based but has a worldwide reputation. His solid house sound is built on powerful basslines with influences from jazz, soul, breakbeat, hip-hop and techno making it all the more original. He's released on labels like Roush, Moan, Kaluki, Moxy Muzik and many others.

Better Than Your BF Ever Could kicks off with raw claps and sleazy bars before a warped bass line comes in and the kicks drive things on. It's a menacing tune with a hefty groove that never lets up. Big Fat Line has more tripe synths that rise up through the mix as the roaming bassline and crisp drums lock you in and some female vocals bring plenty of attitude and atmosphere to this tasteful party starter.

PREMIERE: Reelow - Better Then Your Bf Ever Could [Griffintown Records]

Solid Grooves has built a strong following of loyal fans over the years. Starting out as an event series, the London based brand has since achieved global success including a prevalent Ibiza residency last year. Launching as a label in 2015, it wasn’t long before Solid Grooves Records topped Beatport’s overall charts with Wade’s remix of Dennis Cruz ‘See Line’ and cemented its reputation as an infallible imprint, releasing music from names such as Kuo Climax, ONNO, David Pher and Brett Gould.

Dennis Cruz leads the way with ‘Fake’, a vocal focused track with throbbing bass, chopped up samples and infectious percussive components before Franz Costa’s ‘Kate’ blends a medley of intricate rhythmic elements for a trippy low-slung production.

The label co-founders are up next, with Michael Bibi unleashing a roaring low-end in ‘Devil’s Candy’ whilst a spoken word sample operates through, making way for PAWSA’s ‘Taking Over’ – an atmospheric house track geared for powerful subs featuring dub inspired stabs and sharp hats. Reelow then concludes the package, demonstrating his signature style with a cacophony of percussion and mesmerizing effects.
