Doomsday Afternoon Post is a soloact that makes music which references post-apocalyptic fiction and comic art. The lyrics of the songs portray a storyline in which the main character is searching for a better destiny in a futuristic but declined society.
The music has strong roots in early Postpunk, New Wave, Funk and Electronic music. 

Synthesizer and bass guitar are heavily used. Ferdinand Rudolf, the person behind Doomsday Afternoon Post, played for some years bass guitar in a few local New Wave bands from Rotterdam The Netherlands and used the name of the act before those periods as an umbrella for songwriter activities. In 2017 Doomsday Afternoon Post was resurrected as an independent solo act.
