Explanation

This wasn't supposed to be released until the game dropped this summer. But, someone got a hold of the master audio file and was leaking it around. Rather it be them uploading my work for whatever intentions they have, me and Ari have both agreed to release the song early.

This was extremely disrespectful for people to leak it but, oh well. I got to release the song early so it's not all bad.

Injured by its fall, the human called out for help.

The queen's son heard the human's call.

He brought the human back to the castle.

Over time, the two became like siblings.

The Queen and King treated the human child, CHARA, as their own.

The underground was full of hope.

Then... One day...

CHARA had fallen very ill.

The sick human had only one request.

To see the flowers from their village.

But there was nothing we could do.

The next day.

The next day.

...

CHARA had passed.

The queen's son, wracked with grief, absorbed the human's SOUL.

He transformed into a being with incredible power.

With the human SOUL, he crossed through the barrier.

He carried the human's body into the sunset.

Back to the village of the humans.

He reached the center of the village.

There, he found a bed of golden flowers.

He carried the human onto it.

Suddenly, screams rang out.

The villagers saw him holding the human's body.

They thought that he had killed the child.

The humans attacked him with everything they had.

He was struck with blow after blow.

The queen's son suddenly released a bright light, blinding the humans.

...

He had fought back.

Humans, one by one, fell to the ground, wounded.

Until...

One struck the queen's son, critically.

Clutching the human...

He ran back to MT EBOTT.

There, at the mountain's peak...

His SOUL and CHARA's split, along with their bodies.

Pludging CHARA into the capital's garden.

The kingdom fell into despair.

The queen and king had lost two children in one night.

The humans had once again taken everything from us.

The queen decided it was time to end our suffering.

In an intense fit of rage, she declared war on the humans once again.

She declared...

Every human who falls down here must die.

With enough souls, we can shatter the barrier forever.

By sheer luck, or fate...

You fell down here.

The queen hasn't been keeping communication.

She's been shut in the garden for ages.

She has failed us.

But...

It's not long now.

If we all have our hearts beat as one...

For the uninitiated:
DELTARUNE is an episodic role-playing video game in development by Toby Fox as a follow-up to his 2015 video game UNDERTALE. In the game, the player controls a human teenager, Kris, who is destined to save the world together with Susie, a monster, and Ralsei, a prince from the Dark World. During their quest to seal the Dark Fountains prophesied to end the world, the group makes both friends and foes. The combat system is turn-based and uses bullet hell mechanics. Similarly to Undertale, enemy encounters can be resolved peacefully or through violence.

Development of DELTARUNE began in 2012, three years before Fox's previous game, UNDERTALE, was released. Though it shares some characters with UNDERTALE and features similar gameplay, it takes place in a separate setting and uses an overhauled battle system with multiple party members. The game's story is divided into multiple chapters that have been released gradually; its first and second chapters were released for free in October 2018 and September 2021 respectively. The next two chapters were released in June 2025 as part of a paid version, which will incorporate future chapters as free updates. The fifth chapter is set to release in 2026, and the game's menu suggests a sixth and seventh chapter. Initially, the game was released on macOS and Windows, before being ported to the Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4 in 2019, and the Nintendo Switch 2 and PlayStation 5 in 2025. The released chapters have been praised by critics for their soundtrack, narrative, and sense of humor.

A deep, deep, deep Darkness and Void of emotions. I created a mask for years now and It has been the reason I'm still sane.
